Our goal is to empower black youth to use their intellect and spirit of achievement to become successful and productive citizens. Through this facet, we implement transformational programs that are responsive to the academic, cultural, career development, and mentoring needs of youth.
Services to Youth focuses on providing a range of innovative, substantive and sustainable Pre-K-16 programming which contribute proven results to key educational or social/community issues. Our Mission is “Links seizing the opportunity to help our youth achieve.” These opportunities may vary from Chapter to Chapter, but all programs will be able to show a positive impact on the children we serve.
Our Services To Youth Committee is providing mentoring and support to 50 students at Harper’s Choice Middle and Hammond Middle schools. Our main objectives are to promote diabetes awareness and education, nurture self-esteem, and support the academic achievement of these students.
Our Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Achievement Program, otherwise known as MESA, is designed to entice our young people to engage in after school activities that enhance their scientific knowledge and encourage them to enter fields such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, and medical professions.
