Our community has a strong and robust history for supporting the performing and visual arts. Our goal is to increase awareness and expand art engagement among residents throughout Howard County. Since 1989, The Columbia (MD) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has produced many cultural arts events, including an annual Peabody Student Concert, featuring classical, jazz, and gospel music performed by black students and alumni of the world-renown Peabody Conservatory of Music. Through a partnership with the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, this standing room- only concert is a unique experience.

The objective of this facet has historically been to encourage appreciation and support for cultural enrichment and to empower artists to become an integral part of the global community.  Links chapters have partnered with their local museums, symphonies, arts councils, educational institutions and corporations in order to support art programs, especially where it focused on the presentation of artists of color.
